[Life at CUMIC] CUMIC Set Sail in Dianshan Lake

October 17, 2015— Sailing activities of "setting sail, braving winds and waves" of CUMIC Steel Limited was carried out smoothly on October 17 at Shanghai Aquatic Sports Center in Dianshan Lake.

This activity invited the professional sailing coach of Suzhou Haishang Sailing Club Co., Ltd. to provide knowledge teaching and aquatic guidance. In the one-day event, the coach of Haishang Windsurfers Sailing Club explained the surrounding basic knowledge of the sailing boat, wind direction and sailing control, sailing ropes, and other professional knowledge. In the process of training, everyone asked questions, communicated with the coach, the whole training was full of learning atmosphere.

And that afternoon, under the guidance of the coach, aquatic travel practice was arranged, all members left port for exercise by five sailboats. After two hours of experiential learning, a race around mark began after a whistle, five sailboats traveled fast towards the destination along the specified route just like the arrow that leaves the spring, all teams cooperated and depended on each other, after the contest, the champion was decided finally; the coach awarded champagne for the winning team to celebrate after back to the port.

This activity achieved the expected effect in improving team cohesion and enriching the employee’s spare time life.
